Mrs. Rogers

Hello My Name Is...

Mrs. Rogers

Mrs. Rogers

My name is Sarah Rogers. I am a Reading Recovery Teacher and Comprehensive Literacy Intervention Specialist at Benton Elementary School. I teach both Reading Recovery and small group reading and writing intervention to first and second grade students.

I received my degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Maine at Farmington. I also earned a Masters' Degree in Curriculum, Assessment, and Instruction from the University of Maine at Orono. I aspire to earn my second masters' in literacy!

I am a Lawrence Bulldog down to my core. I grew up in Clinton, Maine and  attended Clinton Elementary School. I also attended the Lawrence Jr.  and Senior High School.
After college I wanted to return home to MSAD 49 so that I could give back to the community that gave me so much!

After beginning my teaching career in grades K-2  in southern Maine and then in Waterville I began teaching 3rd grade in MSAD 49. I taught third grade for 9 years before starting my adventure as a Reading Recovery teacher.

I absolutely love working with children and sharing my love of reading and writing.
